Reflection on Past Years

If you haven’t already noticed; our last blog post was way back in 2016. That year was a very trying year for us as well as the entire industry; and sadly, many things had to be put on the back burner for a bit. The scary rumors of all the FDA regulations started hitting shops and liquid manufacturers alike, as well as a serious destabilizing event within our own walls took their toll on us all.

We blasted into the start of 2016 with 11 stores spread out over 4 states, a coast to coast marketing campaign and road tour that put our main liquid lines in over 300 brick and mortar locations across the country, and even a spot on a nationwide reality TV show. Not to mention that the US Navy invited us onto an aircraft carrier to accompany one of our Sponsored Artist; which gave us the chance to talk to the sailors about the benefits of vaping over smoking.


So if SS Vape was doing so great, what happened?

That is a very good question, and one that’s really hard to answer without a long drawn out story. Basically, many people across the entire industry freaked out over the pending FDA regulations, including several of our store owners. Add a few inconsolable differences and the butting of heads and the decision was made to split up the company. Shortly after, several other store owners were not too confident in the company’s stability and decided to abandon the SS Vape name and go their own way. We started 2016 with 11 stores and ended with only 3.


Jump forward to the final days of 2018 and it is clear that a lot has happened in 2 years. We had to shut down all other operations and focus solely on our retail stores and our loyal retail customers. Currently, we have 6 retail locations with #7 in the works and #8, #9 not too far behind. We have over 500 registered SKUs with the FDA, one of the oldest E-Liquid lines around and the only LIFETIME GUARANTEE in the industry.


So where do we go from here?

If 2017-2018 were our “recover and rebuilding years”, than 2019 will be our year of explosive growth once again. One major task high up on the priority list is to overhaul our website and rebuild our online presence. We will continue to grow our retail stores as well as re-open our wholesale and distribution departments. We set our liquid and hardware manufacturing to full steam ahead and will start to re-release many of our popular flavors in the coming months. Our goal is and always has been to help people quit smoking so they can live healthier and fuller lives. We started this journey back in 2010 and have no plans to ending it anytime soon.
